Form 1099-G is used by federal, state and local governments to account for certain outgoing payments that are not covered under other tax documents. These include unemployment compensation, tax refunds or credits, taxable grants and agriculture payments. This form is also used to account for incoming payments on Commodity Credit Corporation loans.
