Remove a spa by draining the water, disconnecting the electrical connections, turning the tub on its side, attaching four-by-four posts to each corner, and carrying it to a low trailer. Enlist the help of several others in carrying the heavy and bulky tub.

Prior to removing the spa, walk the path between it and the trailer, ensuring there are no trip hazards or narrow passageways through which it cannot pass. If you plan to discard the spa, use a reciprocating saw to cut the fiberglass tub into pieces that are smaller and less bulky to carry away for disposal. Recycle any metal pipes, wiring and motors in the spa.
