How do you remove sun spots?

To remove sunspots, exfoliate the skin once in the morning and again at night. Apply a brightening serum to your skin, and wear sunscreen that has an SPF of 30 or higher.
- Exfoliate the skin
Wash your face every morning and night, and then use an exfoliating scrub. Choose a scrub that contains papaya, pineapple enzymes or salicylic acid, because these ingredients slough off dead skin cells, including areas of the skin that contain darker pigmentation, such as sun spots.
- Apply a brightening serum
Brightening serums smooth the facial skin and make the surface of the skin reflect more light, creating a brightening effect and an even skin tone. Use your fingertips, or a makeup applicator, to spread the brightening serum evenly over your entire face and neck. Select a brightening serum that contains licorice extract or hydroquinone for the best results.
- Wear sunscreen
Sun spots are the result of excessive sun exposure, so be sure to wear sunscreen when you’re outside. Look for sunscreens that have an SPF of 30 or more to ensure your skin is adequately protected. If sun spots don't fade within several weeks, visit a dermatologist to discuss prescription strength topical products that are available.
