Can you renew your Certified Nursing Assistant license through the Red Cross?
By Forinfos - 30/04/2026 - 0 comments
The American Red Cross provides renewal of Certified Nursing Assistant licenses to eligible applicants. The application for renewal must be completed by an employer to verify that the individual worked at least one eight-hour shift during the preceding licensing period.
The Red Cross establishes a new expiration date by adding two years to the most recent period of work. An individual who did not work during the two-year period is not eligible for renewal. Obtaining a new license requires taking the knowledge and clinical tests. Applicants must submit a copy of the expired license, an application for testing and a money order to the American Red Cross.
