How do you cast a vote on American Idol?

Vote for your favorite American Idol contestants by calling the toll-free number posted during each episode. Alternatively, vote by text, Facebook or via the American Idol app. If you are a Google account holder, use the search engine to access the Google Voting Module, suggests American Idol's website.

For most episodes, voting opens at the beginning of each show. Viewers are allowed to submit up to 20 votes for their favorite singers. Toll-free voting remains open for two hours after each broadcast.

Except for standard Internet access and data usage charges, voting is free. However, fans using mobile phones may incur calling plan minute deductions, depending on their plans.
