Where do you catch Charmander on "Pokémon Emerald"?

Charmander is not available to catch in "Pokémon Emerald." However, a player can obtain the character through trading with a copy of either "Pokémon FireRed" or "Pokémon LeafGreen."

There is exactly one Charmander in every game of "Pokémon FireRed" or "Pokémon LeafGreen." It is obtained from the start in Pallet Town. Once a player has Charmander in either game, it can be traded into "Pokémon Emerald."

Charmander is a fire-type Pokémon that evolves into Charmeleon at level 16 and later morphs into Charizard at level 36. Neither is available to catch in "Pokémon Emerald." The way to obtain Charmeleon or Charizard in "Pokémon FireRed" or "Pokémon LeafGreen" is by evolving Charmander.
