What causes low water pressure in a kitchen sink?

Low water pressure from a kitchen sink faucet could be caused by a clogged spout or reduced water delivery. The most common problem is a build-up of sediment in the faucet's aerator, which restricts the flow of water.
To improve water pressure due to a clogged spout, remove the aerator from the end of the spout and flush it with hot water and white vinegar. When it is replaced on the spout, the water pressure should increase.
If the low water pressure is caused by reduced water delivery, it might be necessary to install a pump or other device on the water line to increase pressure. This problem often results from plumbing renovations that increase the number of faucets in the home.
