To change your Yahoo Messenger password, you need to know your current Yahoo ID and password before you continue. Go to the account sign-in page, type your ID and password, and click Enter. Click Change Password, enter your new password, and click Continue.
- Sign into your account
Go to the Yahoo home page, and click on the gear symbol in the upper right hand corner of the page. In the drop-down menu that appears, click on Account Info. The sign-in page will appear; enter your current ID and password.
- Click on Change Your Password
On the personal account page, click Change Your Password. It is located towards the bottom of the page on the left-hand side.
- Change password
Enter a new password in the box that appears. The new password must be between eight and 32 characters, and contain at least one capital letter and a number. Try not to use any portion of your name, or a password that you have previously used. Enter the new password again to confirm the change, and press Continue.
