Do cheetahs live in the rainforest?

Cheetahs do not live in rainforests or wetlands. The cheetah, which is the fastest land animal in the world, is typically found on the savannas of sub-Saharan Africa, though there have been reports of approximately 200 cheetahs living in Iran, as of 2014.

Cheetahs live in small, isolated groups called coalitions, which are largely comprised of brothers from the same litter. The largest percentage of the estimated 7,000 to 10,000 that remain in the wild live in parks in Africa. Cheetahs used to live throughout Africa and as far away as India, and in 1900 there were as many as 100,000 living in the wild.
