Chocolate does have some caffeine. The cocoa bean has a small of caffeine when it is growing, and because of this, pieces of chocolate and chocolate bars also have caffeine in them. Just how much caffeine depends on the size of the chocolate piece as well as the kind.
According to Health Magazine, there is less than 10 milligrams of caffeine in a single candy bar. Dark chocolate can have a significant amount of caffeine, and Hershey’s Special Dark Chocolate Bar has more than 31 milligrams. That number is almost equivalent to the amount of caffeine contained in a can of Coca-Cola.
