Cicely Tyson does not have any children, as of September 2015. Tyson is an actress who was reportedly born in New York City between 1924 and 1933. Tyson has starred in a number of films and TV shows, including "Sounder," "Roots" and "The Autobiography of Miss Jane Pittman."

Although Tyson has never had children, she has experienced marriage. In the 1980s, she was married to music enthusiast Miles Davis. They divorced seven years after they wed.

In 1977, Tyson became a member of the Black Filmmakers Hall of Fame, and approximately three decades later, she received the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People's Spingarn Medal.
