Adrian Peterson does have children, however the number of children he has is up for debate. Peterson will not confirm the number of children that he has, but according to several sources, it is said to be anywhere from four to seven.

Peterson appeared in headlines several times in regard to his children. One of his kids, whom he never met, died in 2013 as a result of alleged abuse by the mother's boyfriend. Peterson himself was charged in 2014 with abusing his 4-year-old son, which caused him to be suspended from participating in all NFL activities. Peterson pleaded no contest to the charges, and was sentenced to probation, including 80 hours of community service and a $4,000 fine.
