To clean a van, begin by washing and rinsing its exterior, including the roof, wheels and tires. Manually dry the van to avoid water spots, then vacuum the interior. Finish cleaning the van by using products to clean the seats, door upholstery, dashboard and windows.
- Wash the wheels and tires
Clean the wheels and tires by spraying them with wheel- and tire-cleaning products of your choice. Scrub off all dirt by using a sponge or brush, then rinse the wheels and tires thoroughly.
- Wet the van
Using a hose, rinse the van with water.
- Apply car wash soap
Using a rag or sponge, apply a car-wash soap solution to the entire exterior of the van.
- Rinse off the soap
Using a hose, rinse the soap off the van until no residue is left.
- Dry the van
To avoid water spots, manually dry the van using a clean rag or towel.
- Vacuum the interior
Dispose of all garbage, and remove belongings from inside the van. Use the long-handed attachment of a vacuum or a handheld vacuum to clean the entire interior of the van, including under the seats, around the gas pedal and the ceiling.
- Wipe down the interior
Spray a car-interior cleaning product on a clean cloth, and thoroughly wipe down the car seats, door upholstery and dashboard.
- Clean the windows
Spray a window-cleaning product on the windows, and wipe them down using a clean cloth or towel.
