How do you clean with vinegar?

To clean with vinegar, mix together one part vinegar and one part water in a spray bottle. Test the solution on a small area, and then spray the entire surface to be cleaned. Wait a minute for the cleaner to loosen dirt, and wipe with a soft cloth.

1. Mix vinegar and water in a spray bottle

   Add water to a spray bottle until it is half full. Pour in distilled white vinegar or apple cider vinegar until the bottle is full. Cap the bottle, and shake gently to mix.

2. Test the surface to be cleaned

   Do not use vinegar on marble or unfinished wood. For finished wood, tile and painted surfaces, spray a small amount of the solution on a small, out-of-the-way area of the surface. Wait one minute, and then wipe with a soft cloth. If the surface is changed in any way, do not use vinegar to clean it. Vinegar is safe for most other surfaces.

3. Spray cleaner on the surface

   Evenly spray the vinegar solution over the area to be cleaned. Let the cleaner sit for one minute to penetrate dirt.

4. Wipe the surface with a soft cloth

   Rub a soft cloth over the surface to remove dirt, focusing on heavily soiled areas.
