Wedgwood china can be cleaned in a dishwasher or hand-washed. It takes about 15 minutes to hand-wash a service for four. You need a paper towel, dish soap and a soft rag for washing. Use vinegar and salt or baking soda to treat stains.

1. Wipe the plates

   Use a paper towel to wipe excess food from the plates before washing, or run the plates under warm water to push the food into the garbage disposal. Do not scrape the plates with aluminum utensils, which can create gray lines on the dishes.

2. Fill a sink with warm water

   After plugging the sink, add warm water and a squirt of dish soap. If the water feels too hot for your hands, it could cause cracks in the finish on the china. Place only a few dishes at a time in the sink to avoid scraping them against one another.
