By Forinfos - 30/05/2025 - 0 comments
The corn snake is typically orange to brownish-yellow with black-bordered red blotches throughout the length of its back. The belly features a black-and-white checkerboard pattern. Variations in color and pattern exist among the species, dependent on the age of the snake and the region in which it is found.
The corn snake has a slender body and reaches lengths of 24 to 72 inches. The species is most common in the southeastern United States among abandoned buildings, barns, meadowlands, rocky hillsides, wooded groves and woodlots. The docile species is often found hiding during the day under logs, loose bark, rocks and other debris.
