What companies supply electricity in Connecticut?

There are two major electric distribution companies in Connecticut, Eversource, formerly Connecticut Light & Power Company, and United Illuminating Company. As of 2015, both companies service the entire state of Connecticut.

In addition to Eversource and United Illuminating Company, there are a number of municipal electric distribution companies in Connecticut. These include Bozrah Light & Power, Groton Utilities, Norwich Public Utilities, South Norwalk Electric Works and Wallingford DPU.
