When was the Costa Atlantica cruise ship built?

Costa Atlantica was built in 2000 and sails under the Italian flag as part of the Costa Cruises fleet. The ship is 862 feet long, has 1,057 cabins with 678 of them having private balconies. Some of the destinations on the ship's itinerary include the Mediterranean, China and Japan.

The ship has four restaurants, including the Club, which requires reservations and adds a surcharge. Twelve bars, including a Wine Bar and a Cognac &; Cigar Bar are also aboard, as is a casino, theater, shopping center, sports venues and a children's pool and activity center. All 12 decks feature colorful drawings by Milo Manara that focus on film director Federico Fellini's career.
