New Delhi is the capital of India, a South Asian country. The world's highest mountain system, the Himalayas is located in India. Frequently called the world's biggest democracy, India has the world's second largest population next to China.

Prior to New Delhi, Calcutta was India's capital. In December 1911, King George V, who was India's Emperor then, changed it to New Delhi. To visit New Delhi, a flight can be taken to Indira Gandhi International Airport, which is situated about 9.9 miles away from the city's center. Among New Delhi's prominent structures are the India Gate, Jantar Mantar, Rajpath and the Qutub Minar. The Rajpath is where India's Republic Day parade is held every year.
