Where do crab spiders live?

With over 2,000 different species of crab spiders, they can be found in all parts of the world. They live in desert, tropical and forest habitats.

Crab spiders have been found in marshes, swamps, forests, tropical regions and the desert. They have flat bodies with eight legs. Two of those legs are usually longer. The spiders generally only live for a year but can live longer in warmer weather. Crab spiders spend most of their time alone looking for prey. Their venom can paralyze their victim very quickly. They are not poisonous to humans and will not usually bite. They eat other insects, making them beneficial to have around.
