By Forinfos - 11/08/2025 - 0 comments

In most areas of the United States, daylight savings time begins on the second Sunday of March. When daylight savings time begins, clocks are advanced forward by one hour at 2 a.m.

The exact day of March when daylight savings time begins changes slightly from year to year, and may fall anywhere between March 8 and March 14. Daylight savings time is in effect throughout the remainder of March and the entirety of April through October. On the first Sunday of November, daylight savings time ends and clocks revert back one hour to standard time.

As of 2015, daylight savings time rules vary in certain parts of the United States and in other countries. Properties that vary include whether or not daylight savings time is ever observed and the starting and ending dates of the daylight savings time period.
