Daymond John isn't known to have a wife as of July 2015. However, he has been married and has two children, but he and his ex-wife divorced due to his frequent traveling and his focus on his business. He has indicated that he prefers to keep his personal life private.

Daymond John created the clothing line FUBU in 1989 while working as a waiter at Red Lobster. Although he had to shut it down three times for financial reasons, sales grew to $350 million in 1998. The brand became more popular when LL Cool J wore a FUBU hat in a Gap commercial, and discreetly mentioned the company during his rap.
