The deepest sea on Earth is the Caribbean Sea, which has a maximum depth of 22,788 feet. Oceans are typically even deeper, with the Pacific Ocean reaching a depth of 35,837 feet at its deepest point.
The Caribbean Sea is part of the Atlantic Ocean that is located surrounding the Caribbean islands. It borders the islands as well as Mexico and the northern part of South America. On top of being the deepest sea, it is also one of the largest, spanning an area of slightly more than 1 million square miles. This sea was one of the many discoveries of Christopher Columbus.
