The organization Families for Depression Awareness estimates that 19 million Americans suffer each year from depressive disorder. Although getting through depression, loss or trauma can seem overwhelming, a depression or crisis hotline can offer emotional support on an immediate or ongoing basis, and assist many sufferers through difficult times.
