What is a depression hotline?
By Forinfos - 27/02/2026 - 0 comments
A depression hotline is a number that can be called by someone who is struggling through trauma or depression of any kind. There are many numbers that can be called nationwide and most of them have 24-hour availability.
WebMD defines depression as a medical illness that causes sufferers to feel hopeless or apathetic for prolonged periods of time. The organization Families for Depression Awareness estimates that 19 million Americans suffer each year from depressive disorder. Although getting through depression, loss or trauma can seem overwhelming, a depression or crisis hotline can offer emotional support on an immediate or ongoing basis, and assist many sufferers through difficult times.
