As of Dec. 15, 2014, evangelist Billy Graham has not died. He has had Parkinson's disease since 1992, and health ailments forced his retirement. He rarely leaves his house, and his wife, Ruth, died in 2007.
Graham was born Nov. 7, 1918, in Charlotte, N.C. He worked as an evangelist who had many sermons broadcast on television and radio, allowing him to reach a massive audience. He was the spiritual adviser to several U.S. presidents, including Dwight Eisenhower, Lyndon Johnson and Richard Nixon. Graham also played a role in the civil rights movement and was a close associate of Martin Luther King Jr.
