When did "Longmire" premiere on Netflix?

The fourth season of "Longmire" premiered on Netflix on Sept. 10. 2015. The show previously aired on A&E but was canceled by the network after three seasons despite strong viewer numbers and positive critical reviews.

A&E announced the cancellation of "Longmire" on Aug. 28, 2014. The channel's parent company, Warner Horizon Television, began searching for other networks that might be interested in purchasing the show. Netflix picked up "Longmire" on Nov. 19, 2014, and aired all episodes of the fourth season simultaneously in Sept. 2015. On Oct. 20, 2015, Netflix announced that it had renewed "Longmire" for a fifth season.
