When did the TV show "Longmire" move to Netflix?

Netflix agreed to air the television show "Longmire" in late 2014, and season four premieres on the streaming service Sept. 10, 2015. Seasons one through three already had been streaming on the site.

A&E canceled the series in 2014 despite its strong following. The show's creators expect the show to be more cinematic on Netflix because there are no commercial breaks or any kind of artistic constraints.

The show is about a sheriff's office in Big Sky country and the problems that it faces. The end of season three leaves unanswered questions about the murder of main character Walt Longmire's wife.
