When did the show "Live with Kelly and Michael" first air on TV?

"Live With Kelly and Michael" first aired on television on Sept. 4, 2012, with Kelly Ripa and Michael Stahan as hosts. The show originally began in 1988 as "Live With Regis and Kathie Lee" with hosts Regis Philbin and Kathie Lee Gifford.

Kelly Ripa became the official host, replacing Kathie Lee Gifford, on Feb. 5, 2001, and the show was retitled as "Live With Regis and Kelly." Regis Philbin retired on Nov. 18, 2011, and the show was again retitled as "Live With Kelly." Many guest co-hosts auditioned for the role before Michael Strahan was chosen in 2012, and the show was renamed "Live With Kelly and Michael."
