Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. had four children with his wife, Coretta Scott King: Bernice, Dexter, Martin III and Yolanda Luther King. All but Yolanda are still alive.

Dr. Michael "Martin" Luther King, Jr. was a prominent Civil Rights activist of the 1960s. His movement was characterised by its nonviolent approach. King is famous for his speeches, most famously the "I Have A Dream" speech, given in 1963 on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial in Washington, D.C.

King was assassinated in 1968 in Memphis, Tennessee. He was survived by his wife, Coretta (Apr. 27, 1927- Jan. 30, 2006) and four children: Bernice (born Mar. 28, 1963), Dexter (born Jan. 30, 1961), Martin III (born Oct. 23, 1957) and Yolanda (Nov. 17, 1955 - May 15, 2007).
