The cause of Queen Victoria's death was a series of strokes suffered several days before she died on Jan. 22, 1901, at 6:30 p.m. At the time of her death, Queen Victoria was 81 years old.
Her reign lasted more than 64 years, the longest in British history. Following her death at the Osborne House on the Isle of Wight, she was buried at Windsor next to her late husband. Prince Albert had preceded Queen Victoria in death by almost 40 years. They lay together at the Frogmore Royal Mausoleum, a monument which she had built for their final resting place.
