Georgia Power allows customers to pay their bills either online with their debit card, credit card, checking or savings account, or in person at a local branch. Other methods of payment include by mail, over the phone and through the Auto Pay feature.
When paying by debit card, no fee is applied both online and in person. As of 2015, credit card users no longer encounter a fee when paying at a local branch but incur one when paying with a credit card online through the BillMatrix option. When paying by phone, checking and savings account payments also require a fee. Individuals mailing their payments to Georgia Power are encouraged to include their account identification number as well.
