Why don't Eskimos hunt penguins?

Eskimos, more properly referred to as Inuit, Yupik and Aleut, live in the Northern Hemisphere throughout Alaska, Canada, Siberia and Greenland. They do not hunt penguins, because penguins live exclusively in the Southern Hemisphere and do not share any common habitats with Inuit, Yupik or Aleut peoples.

Penguins are not commonly hunted by any groups of people, and those that live in and around Antartica have no natural predators on land. The main predators of penguin populations elsewhere are marine animals, such as sharks, orcas and leopard seals. The indigenous residents of Alaska and surrounding areas tend to hunt seals and other mammals.
