By Forinfos - 05/04/2026 - 0 comments
The dosage for Alka-Seltzer Plus Cold is two tablets dissolved in 4 ounces of water taken every four hours and a maximum of eight tablets every 24 hours, reports the National Institutes of Health. Children younger than 12 years old should not use this medication.
Since each tablet contains 325 milligrams of aspirin, people who are allergic to aspirin or at risk for Reye's syndrome should not take Alka-Seltzer Plus Cold remedies, according to the NIH. The aspirin also works as a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug, so adults over age 60 or people with bleeding problems or stomach ulcers should limit intake of the medication.
