Ingredients:

• 2 cups all-purpose flour
• 1/3 cup white sugar
• 1/2 teaspoon salt
• 1 egg yolk
• 1/2 cup water
• 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour, for dusting
• 2 tablespoons melted butter, for brushing

Directions:

1. In a large bowl, whisk together the 2 cups flour, sugar and salt. Blend evenly.
2. Make a well in the center of the flour. In a small bowl, whisk together the egg yolk and water. Pour into the well in the flour mixture.
3. Mix everything together until a stiff dough forms. Transfer the dough to a lightly floured surface. Knead until the dough becomes elastic and smooth, about 8 minutes.
