Jive or "jive talk" is not a language, but instead is a form of English slang associated with Black American jazz musicians. Slang is a part of language and contains very informal words that are used by a particular group, but it is not considered part of the standard vocabulary.
Jive can describe talk that is dishonest or deceitful and can be used as a verb meaning to deceive, to taunt or to flatter. In the 1940s, jive described jazz and swing music and the style of dance that was performed to it. Jive as a word originated in the United States in the 1920s.
