The upper class had embraced leisure sports, leading to the development of simple and flexible clothing styles. The women dressed in long skirts. The Edwardian era women also wore tight corsets as an everyday tradition. Fashion observers indicate that this period saw huge transitions. Many of the changes were attributed to the proceeding war.
