What is an electrical thermostat?
By Forinfos - 14/01/2026 - 0 comments
An electrical thermostat is a part of a home heating system that controls and senses the temperature. Unlike a mechanical thermostat, which only uses two pieces of bonded metal that bend as the temperature changes, an electrical thermostat uses digital temperature sensors for precise temperature control.
Electrical thermostats monitor room temperature within one degree or less of a setpoint. Some models are suitable for programming. Preset programs are suitable for certain times of day or days in a week. Electrical thermostats provide more accuracy and can save up to 30 percent on a household's energy bill. More advanced models have touch screens.
