Logan, Utah, is located in Cache County and has an elevation of 4,535 feet above sea level. The town got its name after Ephraim Logan, who was a fur trapper from that area. The population has increased steadily over the years, and the 2011 census recorded 49,010 people.
Logan was founded in 1855 by Mormon settlers who wanted to occupy and work the land. It developed to be a successful town with many industries, such as manufacturing, medical services, processing, agriculture and retail. Logan is also home to Utah State University, which was founded in 1888 and is the city's biggest employer.
