How energy efficient are LG washers?

Many of the LG washers, including the LG WM3370HWA Front Load washing machine, are recognized as ENERGY STAR Most Efficient 2014. The energy efficiency of all washers is determined by whether they meet the EPA's Energy Star rating.

To qualify for an Energy Star rating, washers must use less energy, reduce greenhouse gases, save money and still provide a high standard of performance. An Energy Star rated machine uses, on average, 35 percent less water and 35 percent less energy than less efficient models. This equates to an average financial saving of $100 per year. Thirty-three of the 40 LG washing machines that are available through the LG site meet these standards, as of February 2015.
