What are English goldendoodles?

English Goldendoodles are a cross between an English Golden Retriever and a Poodle. According to Swiss Ridge Kennels, English Goldendoodles are lighter in color, have a stockier build and are more laid back in personality than regular Goldendoodles.

The Smeraglia family, known for breeding English Teddy Bear Goldendoodles, notes that the Goldendoodle is a very intelligent dog that is good with children and makes an excellent service or therapy dog. This breed has a low- to non-shedding coat and is ideal for people with allergies. Goldendoodles come in colors ranging from cream to black and coat types from straight to curly.
