Some events at the Carolina Renaissance Festival include armored knights jousting on horseback, 12 stages with live entertainment and a royal feast. Along with rides, such as the World's Largest Rocking Horse and Da Vinci's Flying Machine, the festival also features authentic style blacksmiths, leather workers and candle makers.

The annual Carolina Renaissance Festival, dating back to 1994, showcases a 16th century European style of entertainment, art and marketplace. Considered one of the largest renaissance fairs nationwide, the 25-acre theme park has over 500 characters in costume, such as singing peasants and street performers, roaming a village of cottages, castles and pubs.
