How do you evolve Togepi?

Togepi can evolve into a Togetic when it levels up with a Friendship score of at least 220. A Togetic can then evolve into a Togekiss with a Shiny Stone.

Friendship can be raised in many ways, depending on the game version. Across all systems, walking with the specific Pokémon equipped raises Friendship, although the number of steps differs in each game. Typically, leveling, hair cuts and massages also raise Friendship, while fainting and using herbs lowers it. Friendship also increases if the Pokémon is holding a Soothe Bell. Trading a Pokémon to another player resets Friendship to base levels.
