An example of a dramatic story is "Oedipus the King," a play written by Sophocles. This play is an Athenian tragedy that debuted around 429 BC.
As in real life, when a story is called dramatic, that means it involves conflicts and emotions - exactly the things the story of Oedipus is filled with. When told in a chronological order, the story begins with Oedipus as a baby. Fearing the prophecy that his own son would kill him, the king sent Oedipus away, only to encounter him again years later as a stranger, who still ended up killing him during a roadside argument.
