What are examples of dry white wines?

Sauvignon blanc, pinot gris and pinot blanc are examples of dry white wines. Each of these wines is bottled in both the United States and abroad.

Sauvignon blanc is sometimes referred to as fume blanc in the United States. It has a grassy, green flavor, and it is sometimes produced using other varietals of grapes to enhance the flavor. Pinot gris may be referred to as pinot grigio. It a smooth wine with a high-acid content. The hint of oak in a pinot gris is sometimes enhanced by oak-barrel aging. Pinot blanc is usually made with little or no oak, and its flavor has hints of white melon and citrus.
