Why does my mom hate me so much?

A mother may be hateful or resentful toward her child if she was not prepared to be a mother. For instance, a woman who did not plan her pregnancy or is not naturally maternal may exhibit hatred toward her child.

Maternal narcissism is another reason that a mother may hate a child. Mothers who suffer from this condition lack the ability to love their children unconditionally and are always focused on the child's wrongdoings. A mother who was treated harshly or abandoned by her own mother may exhibit this same hateful behavior toward her own children since this is the woman's subconscious definition of motherhood.
