The "In Death" series is set in the year 2058 after an outbreak of global warfare. The first book in the series, "Naked in Death," covers the story of Lieutenant Eve Dallas who works for the New York Police and Security Department. Lieutenant Dallas is covering a homicide case when she meets a mysterious billionaire named Roarke. Lieutenant Dallas ends up falling for Roarke even though he is the prime suspect in her case.
