What was the first GE range model?

The first General Electric range model was the Hotpoint, manufactured in 1910. While this was GE's first electric range, it was not the first ever made. The Chicago World's Fair exhibited an electric stove in 1893, and the first patent for an electric oven was filed in 1896.

Before GE created the Hotpoint, it applied electric cooking techniques to its first electric toaster, the D-12 model released in 1905. In 1915, GE began producing ovens with Calrod, an insulating ceramic material that conducts heat and is still in use as of 2015. The Hotpoint line continued setting trends by releasing the first fully enameled, all-white electric range in 1924.
