When was the first Porsche Carrera GT released?

Porsche first unveiled its Carrera GT at the 2003 Geneva Auto Show, although it did not become available in the United States until 2004. The Carrera GT is the final production version of a concept car first seen at the 2001 Paris Auto Salon.

Porsche produced the Carrera GT from 2004 to 2007. The car features a mid-engine rear-wheel drive configuration, and a naturally aspirated aluminum block V10 engine capable of producing 605 horsepower powers it. The Carrera GT was number one on Sports Car International's list of top sport scars of the 2000s and number eight on its list of Top Sports Cars of All Time.
