What is a flapper wedding dress?

A flapper wedding dress is bridal apparel inspired by 1920s fashion. A flapper dress is typically a knee-length, strapless garment with a loose and straight silhouette, a V-shaped front and back, and a dropped waistline.
"Flapper" is the word used to describe young women in the 1920s who wore shorter-than-average shift dresses, bobbed their hair and used what was considered to be excessive makeup. Flappers were seen as brash for driving automobiles, treating romance casually and defying social norms. By 1925, the hemlines of skirts, which had previously hit low on the calf, had risen about 14 inches, allowing flappers to show off their knees when they danced.
