Fleas can live in a number of environments including grass and other outdoor areas. According to How Stuff Works, there are a couple of ways to naturally get rid of fleas in the yard.
Fleas enjoy living in dark and moist areas, which makes grass the perfect environment for dwelling. One way to eliminate fleas is by using cedar chips. Sprinkling cedar chips around the yard discourages fleas from living in the area because they do not like the smell. Certain people find that sprinkling borax soap around the lawn can also help get rid of fleas. While borax soap is harmless, it can irritate pets with sensitive skin.
